Ryan C. Marques

Ryan is an immigration lawyer and the Honorary Consul of Portugal to the State of Indiana. Ryan manages employment-based immigration matters for public and privately held companies as well as for non-profit organizations across numerous industries, including manufacturing, engineering, logistics, information services and technology, energy, transportation, health care, retail, food and agriculture, professional sports, and higher education. He has counseled U.S. and international companies on investment and employment-based immigration issues for numerous years and has extensive experience in the resolution of general immigration issues such as removal defense, familial adjustment of status, naturalization, asylum, and post-conviction relief.

As the Honorary Consul of Portugal to the State of Indiana, Ryan is responsible for promoting trade, investment, culture, and tourism between the Country of Portugal and the State of Indiana. Also, he meets regularly with state and local government officials and corporate leaders to explain Portugal's interest and to assist appropriate parties in obtaining information on consular matters, policy, and protocol. Additionally, Ryan serves to protect the interests of Portugal and its citizens living and/or visiting in the State of Indiana within the limits prescribed by international law. He reports directly to the Embassy of Portugal in Washington D.C. and performs other diplomatic functions as designated by the Government of Portugal. Ryan is fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish.
