Kasey’s practice focuses on litigation, commercial lending and health care. She has experience representing banks and lenders in government guaranteed lending transactions. Kasey regularly drafts and reviews corporate organizational documents, affiliation agreements, employment agreements, and other contracts for clients. Additionally, Kasey represents clients in both commercial and civil litigation.
Prior to joining Lewis Kappes, Kasey gained invaluable litigation experience working part-time at a law firm while also attending law school. While in law school, she also completed judicial externships for Judge Michael Barnes at the Indiana Court of Appeals and Chief Justice Loretta Rush at the Indiana Supreme Court.
During law school, Kasey was a legal research and civil procedure tutor and Dean’s Tutorial Society Fellow. She worked as a teaching assistant for Professor Jennifer Drobac. Kasey served as Executive Technology Editor for the Indiana Law Review and Associate Justice for Competition Management for the Honorable Robert H. Staton Intramural Moot Court Competition. She was also Vice Magister of Phi Delta Phi – Willkie Inn. Kasey earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs degree from Indiana University – Bloomington with distinction, majoring in Management. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2017.
