Scott A. Pyle

Scott’s practice is comprised of a blend of education, litigation, and corporate and transactional matters. He primarily works with school districts and municipalities in the areas of labor and employment law, special education matters, civil rights, board governance, student issues, and unfair labor practices. Scott has represented clients in administrative proceedings before entities such as the EEOC and ICRC, Indiana trial courts, United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts, the Northern District of Illinois, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. In addition, Scott also represents, assists, and provides advice to a variety of small to mid-sized corporations and business entities based in the Northwest Indiana Region.

Scott earned his B.A. degree from Purdue University and his J.D. degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. While at the Valparaiso University School of Law, Scott served as a Teaching Assistant in the School’s Legal Writing Department and also served as an Associate Editor for the Valparaiso University Law Review. Scott’s Student Note was published in the Fall of 2002 at 37 Val. U. L. Rev. 429. Since its publication, Scott’s Student Note has been cited by numerous Law Reviews throughout the United States and is also cited and referenced in publications by the American Jurisprudence series.

In his time outside of the firm, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
