Stephanie concentrates her practice in the areas of education law, estate planning, and non-profit business formation.
Prior to joining Lewis Kappes, she was employed at the Indiana Department of Education – Office of Special Education from 2015 to 2018, beginning as an intern and then serving as a Special Education Complaint Investigator and School-Based Medicaid Specialist.
Stephanie graduated from Indiana University Bloomington Maurer School of Law in 2016 with a minor in Education Policy and Law. While in law school, she was a research assistant performing research into the areas of education law and policy for Dr. Janet Decker. In addition, Stephanie participated in the Disability and Veteran Clinics representing clients in Social Security proceedings and Veterans with their service-connected disability appeals. She assisted inmates incarcerated at Terre Haute’s federal high-security prison with family law and estate planning matters. She remains an active IU Maurer alumni.
Stephanie is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana and in both the Northern and Southern District Courts of Indiana. She is active in local, state, and national bar associations and is the vice-president of the Town of Whiteland’s Storm Water Management Board. Stephanie has also served four terms as president of the Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation PTO. Stephanie is experienced in American Sign Language.
