Yesterday, October 28, 2019, the United States government extended protections for more than 200,000 citizens of El Salvador who have been living in the United States under Temporary Protected Status (“TPS”). The administration is extending the validity of work permits for Salvadorans with TPS through January 4, 2021.

As of today, October 29, 2019, we have not received guidance on whether TPS beneficiaries will be required to file for the extension or whether the extension is automatic. We will continue to keep our community updated.
