Richard S. VanRheenen

Richard VanRheenen is a director and concentrates his practice in environmental law and environmental litigation. He has represented business and industry in a wide variety of environmental matters since 1987.

Mr. VanRheenen’s practice includes litigation concerning environmental matters before state and federal trial courts, administrative agencies and appellate tribunals. He litigates cases under state and federal environmental statutes for recovery of cleanup costs and insurance coverage disputes for policyholders. Mr. VanRheenen regularly represents clients in permitting actions and administrative review of permits and represents parties with respect to the environmental aspects of the sale and purchase of brownfields and other real estate and businesses. He also advises clients on a variety of issues relating to compliance with state and federal environmental regulations and regulatory closure of impacted sites under various regulations, including voluntary remediation programs.

Mr. VanRheenen contributes time and other resources to an Indianapolis legal clinic that provides pro bono services and volunteers regularly with the Indianapolis Bar Association homeless project.
