Gabrielle Deardorff’s practice focuses on commercial finance and corporate transactions. As a closing attorney, she counsels clients involved in conventional and government guaranteed lending. Gabrielle works in all stages of the lending process and leverages her years of experience in the banking and finance industry to provide tailored services to clients.
Gabrielle has assisted in closing hundreds of SBA 7(a) loans, SBA 504 loans, SBA CAPLine loans, and a wide range of conventional facilities for some of the top SBA lenders in the country. Her experiences involve financing business acquisitions, real estate acquisitions, partner buyouts, equipment purchases, ground-up construction, leasehold improvements, and refinances.
Gabrielle first joined Lewis Kappes as a Legal Assistant in August 2016. After years immersed in the firm’s Lending & Finance division, Gabrielle was promoted to full-time law clerk while attending law school at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in the evenings. As a law student, Gabrielle served as Treasurer of Phi Delta Phi – Willkie Inn for two academic years, was a Dean’s Tutorial Society fellow for Legal Communication and Analysis, and received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Legal Communication and Analysis and Indiana Constitutional Law. Gabrielle graduated from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in May 2022.
Gabrielle earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis, graduating with High Distinction.
Gabrielle helps close commercial lending transactions across the nation. She has extensive experience preparing loan files and assisting throughout the duration of the loan closing process. She works with title and escrow companies to coordinate closing logistics to ensure a seamless closing process.
