Thomas Jones focuses his practice on civil litigation, various corporate matters and labor and employment. He represents clients in commercial disputes, wrongful death claims, and general employment matters.
Thomas joined Lewis Kappes as a law clerk while in law school. Prior to joining Lewis Kappes, Thomas gained invaluable litigation experience working part-time at a law firm where he drafted appellate briefs and dispositive motions and assisted the firm in all stages of litigation. Thomas also gained early exposure to the courtroom as an extern in the Major Felony division of the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office where he assisted prosecutors in dozens of felony jury trials.
Thomas earned his J.D. from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. As a law student, Thomas was named to the Order of the Barristers and was selected as an Associate Justice for Competition Management for the Honorable Robert H. Staton Intramural Moot Court Competition.
Prior to his legal career, Thomas worked in the enrollment office of a higher education institution and also served for six years as an Infantryman and UAV Operator in the Michigan National Guard.
In addition to the practice of law, Thomas enjoys volunteering for local non-profits, participating in recreational sports leagues, and spending time with his family.
Thomas enjoys solving the ever-evolving challenges presented by his clients in the areas of litigation, business and corporate transactions as well as labor and employment.
